The Alps’ jagged knife-edge peaks reach 2500m above the valley floor. You may catch a glimpse of Mt. Karamatsu-Dake (2696m) which towers over the top of Happo-One ski resort. Looking North, your eyes will be drawn to the to the highest peak in the Hakuba area range, Mt. Shirouma-Dake (2932m)

he Alps View boasts 20 fully furnished non-smoking rooms; Western style pillow-top beds, or a more traditional Japanese tatami and futon layout. Our rooms have been tastefully redone fit the needs of all travellers. Each room is equipped with access to WIFI and a complimentary tea kettle. All rooms come with en-suite shower/toilet units.
We offer double, twin rooms, or Family Queen with a sofa bed style layout. Perfect for singles, couples and even families that need a bit more space. Travelling on a budget? Share a traditional room with friends, and experience the Japanese style of a Tatami & Futon room.
You will feel comfortable relaxing in your room, with our modern settings & fixtures. The hospitality continues with our family-friendly Craft Café on the main floor. Find a quiet corner to play a board game, while enjoying tasty items from the stone pizza oven menu. Don’t forget to sample our craft beers and if you feel up to it, challenge your friends on our live-darts board or even have a blast on our in-house karaoke machine!

The beautifully furnished Alps Craft Cafe serves fresh coffees, cocktails, craft beers, bar snacks and delicious home-cooked meals, all topped off with a stunning slope-side view of the Japanese Alps. The Alps Craft Café is located on the entrance foyer.
Start your day with a delicious continental breakfast! Fresh ingredients, and handmade recipes have established us as the place to go in the surrounding Tsugaike area for a tasty snack or a meal out on the town.
During the Winter you can ski right to the door, and enjoy the best Apres in the village! Share experiences and stories from the day with fellow travelers and make new friends! It’s a great way to learn more about what the valley has to offer, and, who knows, you may discover gems of knowledge that may not be found elsewhere! Just ask one of our staff and they will be happy to help get you pointed in the right direction on your outdoor adventures!
The Alps View offers ski in and ski out piste access! Tsugaike Resort boasts the most extensive piste coverage in the valley and the longest run of over 5km. It also provides access to unique gated inbound terrain in the DBD zone. Want to venture further afield? Check out Evergreen Backcountry Guides for options to venture out on a guided back-country tour into the high alpine terrain above the resort. The Alps view also houses Evergreen International Ski School and Evergreen Alpine Academy straight from the piste-accessed bottom floor of the Hotel. So you don’t even need to leave the complex to book yourself on to a lesson! As you can see, there is no shortage of things to do in Hakuba!

"Tsugaike is a small village on the upper end of the Hakuba Valley. Located in Nagano Prefecture, Hakuba is easily accessible from car and public transports The Alps view is located a short walk up slope from the bottom of the Tsugaike Gondola bus stop.
Access by car by driving up the Tsugaike Ryokanku street, just uphill of the Tsugaike Kogen Hotel.
Turn left and continue uphill. We are located on the left side, going up. (Note: From December 20th through March 31st only down hill traffic is allowed so you’ll need to follow the road up and around!) Be sure the check out the Hakuba Valley website for full access details"
